What it is
A tłumacz przysięgły does: a translator on the Polish Ministry of Justice list. In Poland this is a regulated profession, governed by the Act of 25 November 2004. Translators earn the right to certify translations by passing a state exam, taking an oath and being entered on the list.
Each translation carries the translator’s personal seal: their full name around the edge, the language and their list number in the centre. The translator adds the entry number from their register (repertorium). They also state whether the translation was made from the original or from a copy.
Our clients’ sworn translations are done by official sworn translators in Poland. You can check any of them on the public list kept by the Polish Ministry of Justice.

When you need it
Polish authorities, universities, civil registry offices and employers usually ask for a sworn translation. In our experience, they often reject a notarised translation made in Belarus. The recipient sets the requirements, so check with them before you order.
Documents for the voivodeship office (urząd wojewódzki): residence permit, work permit, family reunification.
School-leaving certificate, diploma with transcript, letters from your school or university. You need them for admission to a Polish university or recognition of your qualifications.
Diploma, employment record book, criminal record certificate, driving licence — whatever your employer asks for.
Birth, marriage and divorce certificates for the Polish civil registry office (Urząd Stanu Cywilnego), a court or a notary.

We quote for sworn translation from a photo: the price depends on the document and its length. Send the document via messenger and tell us which Polish institution you are submitting it to.
Ask what kind of translation they accept and whether the document itself needs an apostille. If the answer is “tłumaczenie przysięgłe”, that is exactly what we do. A photo is enough, and the translation will be ready in 5–7 working days. — Nadezhda, Office Manager
How to order
Photograph the whole document. Make sure all seals, stamps and notes are visible, including any on the back.
From the photo we work out the volume and give you a price. Standard documents are charged per document, longer ones by character count.
A sworn translator translates and certifies the document. Names are spelt exactly as in your passport.
We send you a scan or photo of the translation. Check the names, dates and document numbers.
We post the original sworn translation to you in Belarus or any European country, including directly to Poland.
Useful answers
What to know before sending your documents.
No. For a sworn translation, a clear photo of the document is enough, as long as it shows all seals and notes, including those on the back.
5–7 working days, plus postal delivery time.
A sworn translation is certified by the translator, who is on the Polish Ministry of Justice list. A notarised translation is certified by a Belarusian notary, who certifies the translator’s signature, not the content of the translation. Poland usually requires a sworn translation.
Often not: Polish institutions generally ask for a sworn translation. Only the institution you are submitting to can give you a definite answer.
Under Article 11 of the 1994 agreement on legal assistance between Poland and Belarus, official documents are accepted as evidence without legalisation. Some institutions may still ask for an apostille, so check with the recipient.
In Latin script, exactly as in your passport. If the spelling differs between your documents, let us know before we start.
Yes. Send us a photo of the document via messenger, and we will post the original sworn translation to your address in Poland.
