Tasks

Documents we translate into and from Arabic

We translate documents in both directions. These are personal documents for study, work and marriage abroad, and business papers.

  • Documents for Arab countries

Diplomas, certificates, statements and powers of attorney for study, work or marriage abroad.

  • Arabic documents for use in Belarus

We translate certificates, diplomas and statements into Russian and have them notarised for Belarusian authorities.

  • Business documents

Contracts and extracts. Long texts are priced by character count; contracts from 180 BYN.

  • Statements for visas and study

Criminal record certificates, employment and enrolment letters. The authority you submit to decides what needs certifying.

Legalisation

Arab countries: apostille or legalisation

It depends on the country: an apostille only works for parties to the 1961 Hague Convention. Other countries require consular legalisation.

Legalisation has two stages: first the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then the embassy or consulate of the country where the document will be used.

To find out whether your country is a party to the convention, ask the recipient or message us — we will tell you what you need. More on our pages about consular legalisation and apostille in Brest.

Names

How we spell Arabic names in translation

We spell names exactly as they appear in your passport, in Cyrillic and Latin script. The same Arabic name can be rendered in Russian in several ways, so we follow the passport, not the document.

If your name is spelt differently across documents, let us know in advance. Send a photo of your passport with the document, and the translation will be consistent.

How much does translation into Arabic cost?

From 72 BYN per 1,800 characters. For a standard document, we assess a photo and give you the exact price.

How long does the translation take?

Standard and notarised translation: 2–3 days. Consular legalisation takes extra time: at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs alone, 15 days for regular documents.

Do I need an apostille or legalisation?

It depends on the country: an apostille for parties to the Hague Convention, legalisation for the rest. Check with the recipient or message us.

Yes, with notarisation. A Belarusian notary does not need an apostille or legalisation on the foreign document.

How will my name be spelt?

As in your passport, in Cyrillic and Latin script. Send a photo of your passport with the document.

Do you need the original?
